Dr. Kerstin Hübel studied medicine in Germany and at the of University of Vienna (Austria). She obtained her MD degree from the University of Essen, Germany, and  completed her medical doctorate, which was done at the University of Bern,  in collaboration with a stay at UCLA(USA).. Dr. Hübel received her training in internal medicine and nephrology at the Kantonsspital Schaffhausen, Kantonsspital St. Gallen  and University Hospital Zürich where she acted as attending physician in nephrology since 2014. Her major focus in clinical nephrology is kidney transplantation with a special interest in living donation. Dr. Hübel is Fellow of the European Board of Transplantation Medicine (EBTM).  She is actively involved in the first tolerance study in Switzerland. Education and training of medical students and junior doctors is an additional focus.
